Might photographing the pages using my phone, or scanning digitally be more efficient? It would use less paper, there wouldn't be as much waste. I navigate the menu on the small LCD screen and resize the scan to eighty-percent. I print the page. I lift the lid, turn the book one-hundred and eighty degrees and press the scan button. This is better, the page numbers aren't getting cropped out. The fidelity to the original printed text is good. Artefacts and noise are present, but overall legibility is unaffected."
